This is the first day of my life
I swear I was born right in the doorway
I went out in the rain suddenly everything changed
They're spreading blankets on the beach

That these things take forever I especially am slow

You felt as if you had just woke up

And you said “this is the first day of my life
I’m glad I didn’t die before I met you
But now I don’t care I could go anywhere with you
And I’d probably be happy”

So if you want to be with me
With these things there’s no telling
We just have to wait and see
But I’d rather be working for a paycheck
Than waiting to win the lottery

Besides maybe this time is different

이게 제 인생의 첫날이에요.

전 문앞에서 태어난게 틀림없어요.

비오는 날 밖에 나갔더니 모든게 갑자기 변했어요.

그들은 해변가에 담요를 피고 있네요.

제가 제일 처음 본 얼굴이 당신입니다.

당신을 만나기전에는 전 눈이 먼것 같았어요.

전 제가 지금 어딨는지 모르겠어요.

제가 어디에 있었는지도 모르겠네요.

하지만 제가 어디 가고싶은지는 알죠.

그래서 당신이 알아주었으면 했어요.

이것들은 평생이 걸릴거라는걸..

전 특히 둔하거든요.

하지만 전 당신이 필요한걸 깨달았네요.
그리고 전 제가 집에 갈수있는지 궁굼해 했죠.

 

밤을 꼬박 새워 운전했던 날 기었나요?

그저 아침에 절 만나기위해...

그리고 전 당신이 모든게 바꿨다고 말했던게

이상하다 생각했어요.

당신이 방금 일어난것처럼 느꼈죠.

 

그리고 당신은 이렇게 말했어요.

"이것이 내 인생의 첫날이야..

내가 죽기전에 널 만날수 있어서 정말 기뻐..

내가 너랑 어딜가든 상관없어..

그리고 아마 난 행복할거야."

그래서 당신이 만약 저와 있고싶다면

말하지 않는 그것들과 함께.

우린 그저 기다려봐야겠네요.

하지만 전 복권 타길 기다리는것 보다

 월급 받으려 일 할래요.

 

게다가 어쩌면 요번엔 다를지도 몰라요.

제말은 제 생각엔 당신이 절 좋아하는것 같아요.
